#Garmin mobile xt chicago map install#
My money is ready and I want to buy a map! I have managed to install a Openstreepmap onto it but honestly I need inspection spectacles to make anything out on the screen. It’s as if Garmin don’t want you to use the thing. I can’t even buy new maps using Garmin Express as the only option to buy is “speed cameras” regardless of what region I select. I cannot use my old maps on SD card for Thailand which worked flawlessly with my 595, I keep getting map is corrupt when I know they are not. Mobile phones are killing Garmin GPS’s, thank goodness! So please I would appreciate if someone could help me make this thing useable?įar too much “Support”, repairs, glitches, failures etc etc with Garmin devices over the years. I do really want to return this tent light however it took 2 months to get to me through FedEx/customs incompetence (and gpscity didn’t really want to assist) which cost me a further $250 in import fees! So unless someone from gpscity can show me what I’m doing wrong the only other option is to hang it up inside my tent as a light as apparently the battery life is 7 hours! I’m hoping whenever I get the Thailand NT map to work it will be better.
